The album version of Cardiac Arrest is different to the single version: the marimba and saxophone solos have both been cut in half, resulting in the first word of “He’ll never get there at this rate” being cropped, and the song ends on a slowing heartbeat unlike the single which fades out

The 1985 Virgin pressings have been slightly remixed:
‘Mrs Hutchinson’ – the marimba in the second verse has been removed

Most (possibly all) releases after that date use these remixes.

NOTE: it has been pointed out to me by Ronan O’Donnell that the original 1981 France release plays the ‘1985 mixes’, proving that they actually existed in 1981. The France sample test pressing from ’81 plays the original mixes so must have been changed before production.
I have yet to check all the other non-UK releases…

Finland – ‘Never Ask Twice’
Iceland – no track B7
Spain – ‘Never Ask Twice’ (listed as ‘Day On The Town’ on sleeve rear)
Portugal – ‘Day On The Town’
Italy – no track B7
Greece LP – ‘Never Ask Twice’ (not listed on sleeve rear)
Greece cassette – ‘Never Ask Twice’ but position swapped with ‘Mrs. Hutchinson’
Yugoslavia LP – ‘Never Ask Twice’ but listed as ‘Day On The Town’ on label, nothing on sleeve rear
Yugoslavia cassette – ‘Day On The Town’
Mexico LP – ‘Never Ask Twice’ added as track A7, no track B7
