On 26th September 1980 the second Madness LP was released worldwide.
For the first time, Chas Smash, who was previously only responsible for ‘various shouts and fancy footwork’, was introduced here as the official seventh group member.
The LP cover was created by Humphrey Ocean, who also created the cover of 10CC’s ‘Original Soundtrack’ and some LP covers designed for Paul McCartney. The producers were again Alan Winstanley and Clive Langer, who recorded ten tracks with the septet.
