Track B7 – ‘Madness’ was intentionally not listed on the sleeve and label of the UK releases. It remained unlisted on all UK releases until 2009.

Has spent a colossal 79 weeks in the top 100 including 9 weeks in the top ten. Peaked at no.2 in early February 1980 coinciding with the chart success of My Girl 7″.
Certified Silver (60,000) on 3rd December 1979, Gold (100,000) on 17th December 1979, Platinum (300,000) on 29th May 1980.


Variant 1

Initial releases omitted the word ‘Man’ from Bed & Breakfast Man on the label and sleeve rear. They are fairly common

There seem to be as many Portuguese pressings in the UK second-hand market as UK pressings. Perhaps they were imported to meet demand.
