When Madness’ contract with Stiff Records expired in 1984, they signed to Virgin who looked after their new Zarjazz label and reissued their back catalogue.
‘The Rise & Fall’ was never re-pressed for Virgin, they simply added catalogue number stickers to old Stiff stock, first ‘V 2356’ (1985), then ‘OVED 190’ (1988)
